Privacy Policy

Starlit is a companion app that lets you create a digital avatar of a beloved pet and keep its memory alive through photos, generated scenes, and conversations. We collect only the data needed to provide these features. We do not run ads, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and we never sell your personal data.

1. Data We Collect

• Contact information: your email address or phone number (depending on your region), used to sign in with one-time verification codes.
• Photos and videos: pet photos you upload, and the pet images and video clips generated from them.
• User content: pet profile details you enter (name, breed, appearance, personality, routines, shared memories) and your chat messages with your pet's avatar.
• User ID: an internal account identifier that links your data to your account.
• Purchase records: your subscription status and purchase history, if you buy a subscription or credits.

2. How We Use Your Data

All data above is used solely to provide app functionality: signing you in, generating and displaying your pet's avatar, scenes and videos, powering conversations, syncing your content across sessions, and managing your subscription. We do not use your data for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking, and we do not sell it.

3. Service Providers

We rely on a small number of service providers to operate the app, each receiving only what is necessary:

• Cloud storage & delivery: uploaded photos and generated media are stored on Tencent Cloud object storage and served through its CDN.
• AI processing: pet photos and chat text are processed by third-party AI model providers to generate avatars, videos, and chat replies. These providers process the data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
• Email delivery: sign-in verification codes are delivered via Resend.
• Purchases: payments are processed by Apple through the App Store; subscription status is managed via RevenueCat. We never see your payment card details.

4. Storage and Security

All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to stored data is restricted to what is required to operate the service.

5. Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete Account), which removes your personal data, uploaded photos, generated media, and conversation history from our systems.

6. Children

Starlit is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
